Boston, Palo Alto, New York, November 3, 2016-Benu Networks, announces tech veteran Mads Lillelund as Chief Executive Officer. Lillelund has more than 20 years of experience leading and working for visionary technology organizations. He was previously CEO of Bluesocket, which under his leadership became an industry pioneer in cloud managed Wi-Fi. This success prompted the sale of the company to Adtran in 2011. He serves as a board member and advisor to several tech firms, and prior to Bluesocket held positions with AT & T, Lucent and Enterasys (now Extreme).
“Mads brings extensive industry experience that will enable Benu to expand upon our successes and continue to accumulate leading Network Operators,” said Stefan Dyckerhoff, Sutter Hill Ventures. “His leadership and industry expertise will allow Benu to continue to provide innovative and virtual solutions for Operators.”
Benu’s platform, the Virtual Service Edge (VSE) enables fixed/mobile operators to become highly competitive managed service providers. The VSE is a virtualized and open platform that creates a more agile and service aware IP network with the scale and economics of cloud, but with the control of a bespoke platform. Operators can now create unique service offerings that can be launched in weeks, not months or years, and be scaled up or down based on demand, or dynamically modified.
“I am excited to join Benu Networks and look forward to the opportunity to broaden our customer base with innovative virtualized technology,” said Lillelund. “Operators are in an innovation cycle to transform their infrastructure to be a service delivery network. The Benu VSE is solving this problem today for our customers.” noted Lillelund.
